Many will soon have an ideal bridge to enjoy one of the most wonderful cities in Spain: Toledo, and then we will give you some guidelines to make the most of the Pilar Bridge. Read on if you travel to Toledo. And if you are thinking about what to do, this will clear up your doubts.
You will also find in this article information about the Castilla-La Mancha Crafts Fair (FARCAMA) in Toledo, from 5 to 14 October 2018.
Toledo is not visited in an afternoon, or in a morning… Toledo requires at least three days to calmly enjoy its hundreds of monuments and corners, its legends, its mysteries. And there is no doubt that you can bring printed or on your tablet or mobile phone a thousand and a few pages explaining the city and its history, but nothing better than a good guide who makes you discover those corners so complicated and difficult to locate.
GPS in Toledo doesn’t work very well, maps sometimes don’t have all the streets, and time is limited. Don’t pretend to know this great city in a while, you won’t get it.

Let yourself be taken on a good guided tour of Toledo, you won’t regret it, even at night. Toledo is a labyrinth that goes up and down, through narrow cobblestone streets. If you neglect a little, you’ll end up doing the same route: from the famous Plaza de Zocodover to the Cathedral, and from there to Santo Tomé and the Jewish Quarter. It’s not bad for the first time, the second time for sure you know some new corner, but the third time, it’s tiring.
In “Toledospain.click Guides” they make it easy for you and have prepared an extensive programme of guided tours for the week from 8 to 14 October 2018, including “special” dramatised routes. In its calendar of guided tours you will be able to consult all the routes. And in this other link you have all the offers combining several routes.
What route or guided tour do I take in Toledo?
It is a very frequent question… Of the enormous offer of routes through the city we recommend to contract some package of routes, for example:
- In the morning: a Free Tour that serves as a great introduction to Toledo, to know what to do and visit.
- Night route “Toledo Mágico“. 2 hours with visit to a different cave. 12 €
- Route “Toledo subterranean“. The only one in the city where 7 subways are visited. More information about Toledo subways in this link.
Another well-known nocturnal route is “Toledo sinister: houses and enchanted places“. Narrations very “different” to the usual ones in this type of routes: ghosts, apparitions, strange phenomena…, 12€, already at night (theatrical route)
Or the afternoon route: “Templars and Legends of Mystery“, also dramatised. More information here.
But if it stands out for the great success of the last few months, it is the only nocturnal route in which you access 7 subways under the city, the largest number of all similar routes made in Toledo. Watch the promotional video and get an idea:
The company “Toledospain.click Guides “is the only route company in the city that gives all its customers up to THREE digital books that you can download at home when you return: “Toledo unusual” and “Navigating the legends of Toledo” (more information).
