There are many corners of Toledo that offer wonderful views and we want to discover these viewpoints for you to enjoy these panoramic views of the city.
It will be one of the first viewpoints that you will find when you arrive in the city, if you go up the escalators of the Miradero (Palacio de Congresos).
From here, you will have beautiful views of the vegas of the Tagus river, the Galiana Palace, the Toledo Train station and the old Tavera Hospital.
In addition, you will be able to differentiate the line of the wall, going up towards the Puerta de Bisagra.
Located next to the Alcázar. You will recognize it by the large esplanade next to the parking lot. From this place, you will not only be able to take the best photo of the Alcázar, raised on high, but you will also have the best views of places such as the Toledo Infantry Academy, the San Servando Castle and the Cerro del Bú (where he had his origin the city of Toledo).
In addition, you will find a terrace where you can have a drink and enjoy a beautiful sunset in Toledo.
A corner that we love is the one behind the Church of San Lucas. When you surround it by the main façade, you will be able to see a small viewpoint with direct views of the Toledo Valley area and the Cerro del Bú (you can almost touch it!). This church, moreover, is usually visited with the Toledo Consortium.

Next to the Mirador del Valle and, if you like adventure, you will find access to the climb to Cerro del Bú. You can visit the archaeological remains of the primitive settlement in this place and see one of the best views of the city.
If you intend to climb the hill (it takes about ten minutes from the Valle road), we recommend that you wear comfortable shoes.
Also, in this area, next to the Valley, you will find the famous stone of the Moorish King.
Through an access that comes out in front of the Ermita del Valle, you can access it (it has some complicated sections…).

This promenade, with a beautiful viewpoint, is located in the heart of the Jewish quarter of Toledo. From this walk you will have the best views of the Jewish quarter. Stop to contemplate the Church of Santo Tomé on the right.
Right in front you will find at your feet the El Greco Museum and the Tránsito Synagogue.
To your left, the Courts of Castilla-La Mancha. In addition, from this pass, you will be able to see the famous cigarrales of Toledo on the other side of the river. One of the best viewpoints in Toledo!
In addition, you can sit on the benches of the promenade and contemplate a wonderful sunset over the Jewish quarter of Toledo.
This viewpoint is located in the upper part of the Jewish quarter. In fact, this area was the neighborhood of the Jewish Alacava.
This place also has a small playground and gardens from where you can see one of the best views of the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes.
We recommend you visit this viewpoint at sunset or at night, since you can enjoy the illuminated monastery.
To get there, you must take Santo Tomé street from its beginning (Iglesia del Salvador) and, when you reach the end, take the street on the right, towards the end.
From this place, taking advantage of the shade provided by the trees in its garden, you will be able to contemplate an impressive view of the fall of the Tagus River. You will see the river pass under your feet.
From here you will be able to better understand how the river has functioned as a natural defense for the city itself.
Precisely, on the opposite hill, you will be able to see the famous Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza, with the cigarrales around it. In these gardens is where tradition holds that the house of the painter El Greco was located.
When you come to visit the Church of the Jesuits, one of the attractions you will find is that you can climb its towers to contemplate the wonderful views that this place offers.
The Church of the Jesuits is located in one of the highest points of Toledo, so the panoramic view is unbeatable. As is well said about this place: “you will be able to see Toledo from the sky”. Do not miss it!

However, if you decide to come on your own, the price is three euros per person or your ticket is included if you wear the tourist bracelet. Of course… 134 steps await you! But don’t worry, they are very easy to climb.
If you visit the part of the library of Castilla-La Mancha, located inside the Alcázar, you will also be able to see one of the best panoramic views of Toledo.
You have several points where you can do it: the corridors that lead to the study room of the library, having wonderful views of the city and the area of the Cathedral or, if you go up to have a coffee from its cafeteria, you will be able to contemplate several points of View: towards the valley area, towards the city of Toledo and towards the sides of the Alcázar. Highly recommend!
At the entrance of the building you will have a small control. Once past the control, when you go up in the elevator you can press the “library” button to go to the library or the “cafeteria” button, which will take you to the top of the building, in one of its towers where the this small and cozy cafe.
You can not lose this! (Important: the Army Museum is usually closed on Mondays and the library on Sundays and holidays)
On the top floor of this hotel is “La Azotea de Carlos“, a place where you can have a drink while enjoying one of the best views of the city.
