The largest panoramic photograph of Toledo will be taken this Sunday

The largest panoramic photograph of Toledo ever taken will be taken on Sunday 21 June between 12:30h and 13:30h. The Photographic Association of Toledo wanted to inform of the realization of the photograph so that anyone who wants to appear in it is located in positions in the Old Town from which you can see the Hermitage of the Valley.

The Toledo Photographic Association is once again promoting an unprecedented photographic event in our city, a new “Toledo as never before photographed”.

This time it will be a daytime photo, a panoramic view of Toledo from the Ronda del Valle, but not the “typical photo” of Toledo, but a GIGAPANO in which we want as many people as possible.

The next day June 21 between 12:30h and 13:30h a high-resolution camera with a large telephoto lens, mounted on a robotic head, will take more than 1200 photographs of Toledo, which will be later joined together and form a “gigapano”, a huge panoramic photograph with more than 16,000 million pixels of resolution and 64 Gigabytes that printed would measure 82 meters wide and 35 meters high… It would not fit in Zocodover! It would completely cover one of the façades of the Alcazar!…

But we don’t stop there, we want as many people as possible to appear in the photo and then, when the photo is uploaded to the Internet, it can be identified and tagged. For this we will count on the collaboration of the Facebook group “You are not from Toledo if…” and all those who want to come to Toledo…, to take a photo.
