The Visigothic site of the Vega Baja is shown to the public

The Visigothic site of the Vega Baja is shown to the publicIn the 400 m2 exhibition, visitors will find the life-size recreation of a Visigoth room, divided into three rooms, according to the first data that could be collected from the archaeological studies of Vega Baja.

In the first room you will be able to see much of the news about the latest findings and take a tour of the different historical maps of Toledo, which already represented the uniqueness of the site, and some of the important remains that occupied the Vega, such as the Roman circus, as well as the evolution of its buildings and roads that crossed it.

In the second room we will see part of the archaeological work that is carried out daily in the Vega Baja and the scientific methodology used in the excavations, not known to the general public. In this phase of the exhibition, visitors will feel as if they were visiting a house in the Visigothic capital of the 6th century.

The third room will be dedicated to the interpretation of the archaeological space of Vega Baja in which the most recent and important findings since the beginning of the excavation work will be displayed.

The tour will be complemented with an informative video of the site and aerial photographs of it.
