The City Council of Toledo has made public on its official website the program of activities for Carnival 2013, which we share below:
Thursday 7
– 19:00 hours – Animation parades, by the Percussion School “Propercusión”, and the participation of the Neighbourhood Association “La Cornisa”, from Toledo. Itinerary: Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Arco de Palacio, Hombre de Palo, Cuatro Calles, Calle Comercio, Plaza de Zocodover and return to Plaza del Ayuntamiento by the same route.
Friday 8
Santa María de Benquerencia
>br />- 18:30 h.-. Parade with Costume Parade, accompanied by the Band “Asociación Musical Benquerencia” and the Percussion School “Propercusión”.
– 20:00 h.- Animation Activity “Peque-rhythm” through the company Veo Veo Fusión. Place: Plaza de Federico García Lorca.
– 22:00 h.- Verbena in Plaza de Federico García Lorca.
>br />Santa Bárbara
– 18:30 h.- Parades with parade of costumes with the participation of the Banda de Música de Toledo.
– 20:00 h.- Contest of Infantile Costumes. Place: Santa Bárbara Civic Centre.
– 22:00 h.- Verbena in the esplanade of the Sports Pavilion
San Antón. Palomarejos. Nara Park
br />- 21:30 h.- Gran Verbena in the auditorium Parque de las Tres Culturas.
br />br />Azucaica
br />- 22:00 h.- Gran Verbena.
– 00:00 h.- Distribution of prizes in the Costume Competition.
Historical helmet
– 22:30 h.- Dance-Competition Venetian Masks. Place: Centro Cultural San Marcos. Tickets: 8€ advance sale. 10€ at the box office (the ticket includes: Welcome Cocktail + Glass). Tickets will be sold at the following venues: Cervecería Pinocchio – Café Delfín – La Pepa. It is obligatory to attend disguised under the theme of the dance. Registration for the competition will be from 22:30 to 00:00 hours, at the centre itself.
Saturday 9
– From 12:00 to 14:00 h.: Children’s Show. Place: Plaza Zocodover.
– 17:30 h.- Carnival Parade.
– 21:30 h.- Awards Ceremony.
– 23:00 h.- Verbena in the square of Zocodover.
– 00:00 h.- Verbena in the square of the Town Hall.
> Sunday 10
br />>- From 11:00 to 14:30 h..- Children’s activities in the square of the Town Hall.
– 18:00 h.- Sardine wake in the Town Hall square.
– 18:30 h.- Burial of the Sardine, by the company ETR and the participation of the Band “Unión Musical Benquerencia”. Itinerary: Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Calle Comercio, Plaza de Zocodover, Cuesta de Carlos V, Calle Horno de los Bizcochos, Plaza de la Magdalena, Calle Tornerías, Plaza Mayor, Calle Sixto Ramón Parro, Bajada del Barco and Plaza del Embarcadero.
