The relationship between literature and cinema has been chosen as the theme with the slogan “A book, a great film”. SATURDAY 7

  • 12 hours: Proclamation by Felipe Hernández Ponos.
  • Inauguration of the exhibition of cinema posters “Films shot in Toledo”, in the Zocodover marquee. Organised by El Ateneo Científico y Literario de Toledo.
  • Projection of the audiovisual “Escrito”. Made by Grupo Apunte (Alfredo Copeiro and Pablo Sánchez) Plaza de Zocodover. 66 minutes long.
  • 19 hours: FILM: BREAKFAST WITH DIAMONDS, directed by Blake Edwars and based on Truman Capote’s novel “Breakfast at Tiffanýs

SUNDAY 8

  • 12 hours: CINEMA for children with David Parajes. Organised by La Cueva de Mélies de Hojablanca.
  • 18 hours: Presentation of the Bulletin Nº 1 of the Ateneo Científico y Literario de Toledo. Speaker: Juan José Fernández Delgado President of the Ateneo. Organised by: Literary Scientific Athenaeum of Toledo.
  • 19 hours: CINEMA: PERSÉPOLIS directed by Vincent Paronnaud and based on the comic “Persepolis” by Marjame Satrapi.

MONDAY 9

  • 12 hours: Projection of the audiovisual “Escrito”. Made by Grupo Apunte (Alfredo Copeiro and Pablo Sánchez)
  • 18 hours: Presentation of the Books “Historical Roots of San Juan de la Cruz” by José Carlos Gómez Menor and Santiago Satre. Edited by Editorial Trébedes.
  • 19 hours: CINEMA: CAMPANADAS A MEDIANOCHE directed by Orson Welles.
  • 19.30: Presentation of the novel by Antonio Martinez Ballesteros “Por debajo de la piel” (Chronicles of the Transition). The following spoke: Martín Molina, Benacazón Palace.

TUESDAY 10

  • 12 hours: Projection of the audiovisual “Escrito”. Made by Grupo Apunte (Alfredo Copeiro and Pablo Sánchez)
  • 18 hours Presentation of the book “Toledo un espacio visual y sonoro”, anteroom of a prince in Toledo. Interactive multimedia projection.
  • 19 hours: CINEMA DUBLINESES (THE DEAD) directed by Jhon Huston based on the novel “Dublineses” by James Joyce.

WEDNESDAY 11

  • 12 hours: Projection of the audiovisual “Escrito”. Made by Grupo Apunte (Alfredo Copeiro and Pablo Sánchez)
  • 19 hours: CINEMA EL CORONEL NO HAVE WHO WRITTENS TO IT directed by Arturo Ripstein based on the novel “El coronel no tiene quien le escriba” by Gabriel García Márquez,

THURSDAY 12

  • 12 hours: Projection of the audiovisual “Escrito”. Made by Grupo Apunte (Alfredo Copeiro and Pablo Sánchez)
  • 19 hours: Lecture: “Lorenzana and San Pedro Mártir film scenarios”. Speakers: Beatriz Cano Rodríguez. Organized by: Universidad de Mayores José Saramago.
  • 20 hours: CINEMA:TRISTANA Directed by Luis Buñuel. Based on the novel “Tristana” by Benito Pérez Galdós.

FRIDAY 13

  • 12 hours: Projection of the audiovisual “Escrito”. Made by Grupo Apunte (Alfredo Copeiro and Pablo Sánchez)
  • 18 hours Colloquium “Novela negra y cine” with the authors of the novel “Mazapán amargo” by Santiago Sastre and Joaquín García Garijo. Organised by Club de novela negra Taiga.
  • 19 hours FILM:EXTRAÑOS EN TREN, directed by Alfred Hitchcok and based on the novel “Extraños en un tren” by Patricia Highsmith.

SATURDAY 14

  • 12 hours: Papiroflexia workshop “Papelcinelandia” with Javier Caboblanco. Organised by Iniciativa Ciudadana del Toledo Histórico.
  • 12 hours: Projection of the audiovisual “Escrito”. Made by Grupo Apunte (Alfredo Copeiro and Pablo Sánchez)
  • 18 hours: Presentation of Baltasar Magro’s novel “En el corazón de la Ciudad Levítica” Carmen Vaquero Serrano.
  • 19.30: ALICIA FILM IN THE WONDERFUL COUNTRY by Walt Disney based on the novel “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll.

SUNDAY 15

  • 1 p.m.: José Carlos Sheni Basel. Literary route of his work: ODEHLOT: discover the magic of Toledo.
  • 19 hours: HIGH FIDELITY FILM, directed by Stephens Frears and based on the novel “Alta fidelidad” by Nick Hornby.

Note: The films are screened at the Fair activities booth in Zocodover Square.

BOOK SIGNATURE

NOVELS:

  • María Zaragoza. Ateneo Joven de Sevilla Prize with the novel “Dicen que estás muerta”. Saturday 7 in the afternoon from 18 hours.
  • Welcome Maquedano Carrasco. The book “Tierra en los calcetines” (In search of the lost Toledo). Covarrubias Editions. On Sunday 8 from 12 o’clock in the morning.

POETRY:
