XXII anniversary of Toledo as a World Heritage City: programmed activitiesNovember 28 commemorates the 22nd anniversary of the declaration of the city of Toledo as a Patrominion of Humanity. The City Council has organised a series of free activities so that visitors and neighbours can once again enjoy the treasures hidden in Toledo.

The Municipal Tourism Board of Toledo City Council, in collaboration with the Association of Professional Tourist Guides, will celebrate the XXII anniversary of the declaration of the Castilian-La Mancha capital as a World Heritage City with four guided and free routes next Friday, November 28, in which you can visit three of the city’s most emblematic monuments such as the Cathedral, the Church of San Ildefonso and the Church of San Román.

 

This was announced today by the Councillor for Tourism, Milagros Tolón, at a press conference in which she was accompanied by the president of the Toledo Association of Guides, Almudena Cencerrado, to present the cultural activities that the City Council is going to develop on the occasion of this anniversary.

On 28 November, the anniversary of this declaration, the Consistory of Toledo will also enable free of charge the tourist train that crosses various points of the city from the Plaza de Zocodover with a journey of 50 minutes to know Toledo and its panoramic views from the Ronda del Valle and other unique places of the regional capital.

The aim of these activities, said Tolón, is that Toledanos and visitors who are in the city that day can enjoy and know better “the unique cultural heritage” of Toledo, especially by means of visiting not only the exteriors but also the interiors “of our monumental city.
