With August comes the Toledo fair and festivities, from 14 to 19. It will feature musical, recreational and sporting activities for all ages. This year the music stands out, with concerts for all audiences such as Miguel Bosé, Rasel & DJ Josepo, La Frontera, Efecto Pasillo and Fonambulista or María de Toledo with Rafael Amargo. Next we leave you all the program of activities.
From the 14th of August, the people of Toledo will be able to enjoy the parades of gigantones, cabezudos and parades through the streets of the Historical Quarter that will open the festivities next to the concert that Miguel Bosé will offer, at night, in La Peraleda. A good way to get to Toledo these days is to rent a car in Toledo as well.
This party program will have activities such as a giant paella solidarity whose proceeds will go to Unicef projects, leisure activities for children “with educational dyes”, workshops related to water, puppets, magic and balloons within the now traditional “Botijolgorio” and a concert of the famous “Cantajuegos”
.
The children’s activities will be held in the Paseo de la Vega, an appropriate place for the freshness offered by its vegetation, and also at night, will host popular open-air dances from twelve. On Sunday 18 August at 12 noon will perform in the Peraleda “Cantajuegos”.
The concerts of Toledan groups also have their place in this programme which, on this occasion, also take on a supportive tone due to the fact that the proceeds will be destined to the Toledo Food Bank.
Within the musical panorama, the concerts for all audiences such as Rasel & DJ Jospeo, La Frontera, Efecto Pasillo and Fonambulista or María de Toledo together with Rafael Amargo and David de María stand out.
The concerts are accompanied by the traditional “Summer Music” programme that enlivens the evenings in the Historical Quarter with open-air concerts in street squares.
For fashion lovers, there will be a fashion show by the Toledo designer José Sánchez, while in the sports field the XLVIII Vuelta Ciclista Internacional a Toledo or the CD Toledo- CF Talavera tournament stand out.
The festivities will begin on 14 August and will end with a great firework display on the 19th.
