The “XIV Festival de Música Internacional de Toledo “and the Festival de Teatro “Toledo Escena Abierta (TEA) “begin an intense programme of cultural activities in Toledo.
The mayor of Toledo, Emiliano García-Page, said today at the presentation of the XIV Toledo International Music Festival, that the city will have cultural, social and sports program “uninterrupted” during this summer.
Emiliano Garcia-Page stressed that the municipal government’s commitment is that Toledo maintain cultural programming “in this specific season of sunshine and color” from May to September.

14th Music Festival
The renowned American soprano [[Barbara Hendricks]]] will open next Friday the fourteenth edition of the Toledo International Music Festival, which will run until 17 June with a total of thirteen concerts.
The artistic director of the event, Ludmil Angelov. highlighted yesterday, during the presentation of the program in the Chapter House of the City Council, the “exceptional quality” of the performances. The competition includes orchestras, recitals and chamber music, so that they address the most representative formats of classical music.
The concerts will take place on different stages in the city (church of San Julián, Museo Sefardí, Santo Tomé, Teatro de Rojas and San Pedro Mártir), and the price of the tickets will vary between 5 and 10 euros. All the information about the event can be found on the website www.toledofestival.com
At the same time, and as has been usual in recent years, will be held on 12, 13 and 14 May the Youth Piano Competition, which this year celebrates its twenty-first edition with the participation of 40 young people, who will be examined by a prestigious jury.

Toledo Open Scene (TEA)From 8 to 18 March, the “TEA” Theatre Festival will continue, organised by the “Nedjma” Group, the Local Youth Council of Toledo and Onda Polígono, with the help and funding of various administrations. In this fourth edition of the festival, there will be interesting theatrical proposals and live performances, dance, body expression, concerts… All performances will take place at the “Círculo del Arte” in Toledo and will cost between 3 and 5 euros.
